Living in Havana

Castro's regime in the last times. After years with an economic block is expected that the country recieve foreign money that let Cuba goes up. This opening is very expected by all the world and overall for all the cuban people living abroad who wants to go home.  This return will generate a great housing demand and a big problem for the protected center of Havana.

As a solution for this problem it's planned a system in which houses, built in modules with light materials, are set in the lawless roof of the building thanks to that most of the Havana's roofs are flat so are a like a little private space for each house.

The vertical access is made by towers that contais a public space too. 

From the towers raise a walkpath thar link the access with the different houses, furthemores it's used as public walk that shows the city to the people.

The towers are dress with mirrors to give a non presencial statement. On the top, where the public spaces are settled, is planned as a heavy block in contrast to the body.

The houses contains the basic facilities, living room, kitchen, bath and one, two or three rooms depends on the need of the family will live here.

This are handmade by cuban people from shipyards with light materials like fiberglass and plastic to avoid adding weight to old buildings.
